I like the interjection "incumbent" a lot.

The verb used is in the passive tense, not active. So, I suggest,
{92:17} But the most watchful [of God] will be averted from it.

I'd only add the definite article "The" to "Most High". I suggest,
{92:20} But only desiring the countenance of his Lord, The Highest.

I agree, but I am just noting how many English words were needed to translate such a short verse!
